Silver Brazing Filler Rods
MAS has an extensive stock of silver brazing filler rods, with silver content ranging from 20% – 56% cadmium free rods, both bare and flux coated. This enabling us to offer our customers an “off the shelf” service for delivery to each customer’s requirements.
Silver alloys are used in all the industrial fields where high quality joints between similar or dissimilar metals are required, this is due to their great technical characteristics. These alloys are suitable for all of the common engineering materials with the exception of Aluminium and its associative alloys
Fluxes
MAS stock a wide range of Fluxes in different forms such as powder, paste, cream, gel and liquid, specially formulated to obtain perfect and clean joints due to their high quality.
The objective and purpose of the Fluxing in the brazing and welding processes is to prevent the formation, dissolve or facilitate the removal of the oxides or any other undesirable substances from the surfaces to be joined. Another fundamental objective of Fluxes is to assure the formation of a perfect brazed joint by protecting the base filler metal from oxidation and to reduce surface tension, allowing a free and perfect flow of the filler alloys.
The selection of the most appropriate flux must be done according to several indications and it is always recommended to choose the right product after a careful evaluation of all the different factors.
